The watermelon industry has trained ambassadors that educate while adding sparkle to any promotion or special event. There are eight state and one national queen who are sponsored by various state and national watermelon associations. They are responsible for promoting their area's watermelon crop. They are available to represent the watermelon industry at media interviews, store grand openings, special events, hospitals, schools, festivals and parades.
