Additionally, there are worksheets that cover some fun recipes for kids, and everything is downloadable in black-and-white PDF format, making it easy for classroom copies. All the content and health information on these worksheets is approved by the USDA. You can download the worksheets individually - as they are available by grades 1-2, 3-4, 5-6 or Middle School or you can request a copy of your own Teacher's Tool Kit that comes with a CD ROM of all the lessons, recipe pages, activites, and more! We'd like to thank Gale Van Norman from Black Hawk Elementary for writing in to us with some recommended books for grades K-3. Gale says that these are good stories to help introduce watermelons or extend a lesson. Thank you Gale! * "Watermelon Day" by Kathi Appelt * "Watermelon Wishes" by Lisa Moser * "One Watermelon Seed" by Celia Barker Lottridge |
