It’s that time of year again. The days are long and hot and the watermelon is ripe for eating. But how much of our favorite fruit ends up going to waste? Too much, if you ask us!
Just one watermelon can feed up to three dozen people, making it No. 1 on the list of budget-friendly fruits. From the flesh to the juice, and even the rind, you can use every part of the watermelon to make delicious meals, snacks and beverages all year round.

- Juice: Stay hydrated with watermelon. Pureeing or juicing the melon allows you to retain all the nutritional value and is the perfect alternative to tossing overripe watermelons. Drink as a stand-alone juice or create your own summertime concoctions, like a rejuvenating Rosy Red Superfood Smoothie, to help you recharge-
- Flesh: At 92 percent water, snacking on watermelon is a wonderful way to replenish fluids during sizzling summer months (or any time of the year).
